You have read one article by Malcolm Gladwell. Gladwell is one of my favorites. He is an excellent writer who writes for a phenomenal publication- The New Yorker; aside from that, he has great hair! We will read Gladwell in the future. For now, tell me something serious and something fun about him (as I told you something serious and something fun already!).
Gladwell posts should arrive by September 15. Otherwise, I open it up to all my fine readers on the World Wide Web...so students- make me proud!

I'll try my best to make you proud here. something serious about Malcol Gladwell is that his father was English by the name of Graham is a civil engineering professor at the Universety of Waterloo. His mother is Jamaican and works as a psychotherapist. Can't find anything fun about him except for his hair. he probebly gets it from his mother.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading the story in class I cam to the conclusion Malcolm has a stutter.
ReplyDeleteSomething serious about Gladwell is that in 2005 he was named one of Time Magazine's top 100 most influential people. On a less serious note, his claim to fame he says, is that he is from the city that invented the blackberry.
ReplyDeleteSo much more to say about Gladwell, so I open this up to my dear followers...

ReplyDeleteRead what Gladwell has to say about the article we just read! Comments, anyone?
I was surprised to see these comments on this website that Gladwell got some of his facts wrong.
ReplyDeleteHow important is that to your understand of Gladwell's point? Are you less likely to be convinced by argument?
ReplyDeleteI don't think Im less convinced by this information coming to light. The reason for that is that he gave so many more examples that for the few whos information was not entierly true, the rest makes up for it.
ReplyDeleteDuring his high school years, Gladwell was an outstanding middle distance runner and won the 1500m Midget Boys title at the 1978 Ontario High School championships in Kingston it is a funny name for a award and his hair . Also in 2007, Gladwell received an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from the University of Waterloo #######source form wiki (# ^ "UW awards 17 honorary degrees at spring convocation".
